The game reviews your recording history. If you filmed the Taker more than you filmed the environment, you get the "Voyeur" ending—you become the next Taker. If you refused to film the creature entirely, you get the "Coward" ending—you starve in the foyer.
Which is draining your step counter?
These stationary or moving blockades mimic the classic Sokoban puzzle design. You must kick or push them out of your path using your action key. Pushing a shadow entity into a wall destroys it but costs a move.

Every step forward, backward, or sideways consumes one unit of Willpower. If your meter hits zero before reaching the stage objective, the nightmare consumes you.
