Navigate to > Mode 5 > Submenu 5810 (SC Reset) and tap it. Restart the machine completely.

In high-volume Ricoh copiers, the fusing unit uses extreme heat and physical pressure to permanently bond toner to paper. When the machine enters standby mode, completes a print job, or warms up to roughly 150°C, it activates a specialized motor to engage or release this physical pressure.

When any single step in this chain fails, the main board cannot verify that the mechanism is working. After three consecutive failures, the printer will throw the SC569-00 code.

: Since the sensor is highly susceptible to heat damage, replacing the photo interrupter is a common fix if cleaning fails. Hardware Replacement

Do not skip fuser overhaul at the recommended PM counter (usually 300k–600k prints depending on model). Replace the thermistor, lamp, and pressure roller as a set.

Constant heat cycles inside the chassis can cause electrical connectors at the back of the fuser unit to back out or develop intermittent connections.

The machine's engine detects this issue when the toner supply motor—responsible for transporting toner from the cartridge to the developer unit—is locked, malfunctioning, or not rotating properly. When the motor fails to respond to commands, or when toner is not properly transported after a specific period, the machine shuts down the imaging system to prevent further damage, displaying this Service Call. Causes of the SC569-00 Error
