Released after a four-year hiatus, Espuma served as the band's final studio album of original material (excluding live albums and compilations). It marked a return to a more sophisticated, perhaps calmer, but no less intense sound.
Santa Sabina's greatness wasn't only musical; it was also political and spiritual. In a country and an era marked by a "rock drought", they were pioneers who rejected the easy path of commercial success, instead forging a path of artistic integrity. They stood in solidarity with the EZLN at a time when doing so was risky, fought for creative independence, and transformed their concerts into true rituals, where music was the sacred bridge connecting this world with another.

The core of their work consists of five studio albums that evolved from raw energy to sophisticated art rock: Santa Sabina (1992)
Valeria paid with her last savings. That night, she didn't sleep. She played the records in sequence, watching the band evolve: from the gothic chamber-rock of their debut, to the surrealist poetry of Babel , to the arrhythmic jazz fury of Mar adentro en la sangre . She heard Rita’s voice mature from a shamanic wail into a knowing, weathered lullaby.
to celebrate 15 years of career, serving as a comprehensive retrospective of their journey. Compilations Recopilación (2007)
After the acoustic success, the band returned with their most abrasive and experimental record. Mar Adentro en la Sangre (Into the Sea of Blood) is a difficult, rewarding listen. Inspired by the poetry of and the prose of Alejandra Pizarnik , this album eschews radio-friendly structures in favor of sonic landscapes.
