Kess V2 works optimally with Class 4 or lower SD cards, as the hardware is not designed for faster Class 10 cards. Using higher class cards provides no performance benefit.
Under the "Device" dropdown menu, carefully select the drive letter corresponding to your micro SD card. Double-check this step to avoid accidentally overwriting an internal computer drive. Click the button at the bottom of the interface.

After testing dozens of cards, these are the most reliable:
Ensure your vehicle battery or a stable 12V bench power supply is connected when testing the unit post-repair. The USB port alone does not provide enough current to drive the KESS processor when reading an ECU.
A: Technically, yes. But 5.017 is sought-after because newer versions (5.180, 5.220) have clone detection. Stick with 5017.
If you still receive a wake-up error after flashing, your image file may not match your hardware revision, or the SD card slot has poor solder joints. Try resoldering the slot pins or testing a different brand of SD card.
Locate the small flip-top or push-spring Micro SD card slot situated on the bottom or edge of the circuit board.
