What's unique about this website
On this website you can learn the Bhajans by the means of audio & music notation & translation on one page per Bhajan.

How do Indian Bhajans come to Switzerland
Some Swiss Sai devotees and musicians dedicate themselves to singing, playing and teaching these Bhajans. For this purpose they have edited books with the transcription from original Indian audio sources of 3 x 108 Bhajans (324 Bhajans) in western music notation.

Why do we sing Bhajans
In 1968 Sathya Sai Baba said: "Sing aloud the glory of God and charge the atmosphere with divine adoration; the clouds will pour the sanctity through rain on the fields; the crops will feed on it and purify and fortify the food; the food will induce divine urges in man. This is the chain of progress. This is the reason why I insist on group singing of the names of the Lord."

This transformation is not just a victory for representation—it is a lucrative reinvention of the entertainment industry marketplace. The Demolition of the "Age Ceiling"

Historically, the cinematic landscape treated aging as a liability for women while celebrating it as "distinguished" for men. Early Hollywood legends frequently saw their leading roles dry up in mid-life.

To appreciate the current renaissance of older women in film and television, one must examine the industry's historical patterns of exclusion. Hollywood has traditionally conflated a woman’s worth with youth and hyper-sexualization. While male actors like Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson, and Tom Cruise have been celebrated as viable romantic leads and action heroes well into their sixties and seventies, their female contemporaries historically faced a sharp decline in opportunities.

The evolution of mature women in cinema and entertainment marks a permanent shift in the cultural landscape. Women are no longer allowing the industry to dictate their expiration dates. By stepping into roles of executive power, demanding complex narratives, and refusing to conform to outdated societal expectations, mature actresses have permanently expanded the boundaries of storytelling. As cinema continues to evolve, the inclusion of older women ensures a richer, truer, and far more compelling reflection of the human experience.

However, as Hollywood entered its Golden Age, the roles for women—especially those over 40—narrowed. Actresses were frequently relegated to supporting archetypes such as: DiaryOfAMilf 21 06 06 Emma Starr REMASTERED XXX...

: Hollywood still exerts immense pressure on aging women to maintain a youthful appearance through cosmetic procedures. True progress is visible in actors like Emma Thompson and Helen Mirren, who publicly champion natural aging and challenge the industry's aesthetic conformity. 🔮 The Future of Aging in Cinema

Audiences now encounter mature female characters who are allowed to be messy, morally ambiguous, and deeply flawed. They struggle with addiction, commit white-collar crimes, make catastrophic parenting mistakes, and harbor immense ambition. This permission to be imperfect is a hallmark of true narrative equality. Romantic and Sexual Agency

Today, audiences are rejecting that trope. We are seeing a surge in complex, three-dimensional characters for women over 50. These aren't just roles defined by their relationship to a man or their domestic duties; they are CEOs, spies, ruthless lawyers, weary detectives, and romantic leads who have genuine agency. This transformation is not just a victory for

Sarah Polley (44) won an Oscar for Women Talking , a film entirely about middle-aged and older women discussing theology and trauma. The film had no male leads, no explosions, and no young romance. It made money and won awards because the demand was there.

Look at the career renaissance of Jennifer Coolidge. Her turn as Tanya in The White Lotus didn't just win her awards; it made her a cultural icon, celebrating a woman who is messy, complicated, vibrant, and undeniably attractive in her 60s.

Furthermore, visual representation impacts how society views aging. For too long, aging in women was treated as a failure—a decline into irrelevance. By showcasing women like Helen Mirren, Viola Davis, and Cate Blanchett dominating the screen with elegance and power, we are teaching a new generation that a woman’s worth does not have an expiration date. We are teaching young girls that life continues to be vibrant, sexy, and exciting long after the "ingénue" phase is over. To appreciate the current renaissance of older women

While blockbusters are catching up, independent cinema and streaming platforms have been the true pioneers. Films like 85 and Gloria Bell placed mature women squarely at the center of the frame, exploring their desires and their sexuality unapologetically.

Women who faced systemic barriers earlier in their careers are now leveraging their industry power to build their own production companies. Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, Frances McDormand’s active role in producing her own projects, and Ava DuVernay’s ARRAY are prime examples of entities dedicated to optioning books and developing scripts that center on diverse, multi-dimensional female characters. When mature women hold the financial and creative reins, the stories produced naturally reflect a more realistic, respectful, and sophisticated view of aging. Changing Consumer Demographics and Economic Power

Modern cinema frequently positions mature women at the absolute peak of their professional and intellectual powers. Characters are written as formidable politicians, brilliant scientists, ruthless corporate executives, and master artists. Their authority is treated as a natural extension of their decades of experience. Flawed and Complex Protagonists
